Event Rentals
As one of the foremost cultural centers in the Inland Northwest, The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture offers a unique and memorable setting for your event or meeting. Centrally located on 1st Avenue in historic Browne's Addition, the museum campus is adjacent to Spokane’s thriving metropolitan center with shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and hotels. Our campus has sweeping views of North Spokane and is nestled among the elegant beauty and architecture of Spokane's most historically prominent neighborhood.
We offer a variety of spaces to accommodate a range of events including weddings and receptions, anniversary, retirement and holiday parties, meetings and small conferences, client functions and products launches, awards banquets, press events, alumni gatherings and more.
Event bookings are available Tuesday-Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm and evenings between 5:30 and 10 pm.

Cost
Rental costs typically range between $300 - $3,000 depending upon the length of rental, time of day, catering situation, gallery access, and special requests.

Main Lobby
This large and open space just inside the Museum Building main entry has two walls of windows and fantastic views of North Spokane, Mount Spokane, and the museum grounds. It can accommodate up to 92 people with tables and chairs and up to 148 people standing (serving tables only). A lovely setting for sit-down or buffet meals, receptions, or parties.
Gilkey Community Room
A lovely wood-paneled boardroom in the Museum Building, with views of North Spokane and the museum grounds, this room accommodates a variety of seating arrangements for up to 49 people. Appropriate for meetings, parties and receptions, breakfasts/luncheons/dinners and other mid-size events. Equipped with a smart screen, PC laptop, and Wi-Fi at no additional cost.
Eric A Johnston Memorial Auditorium
Helen South Alexander Gallery
A comfortable and accessible auditorium in the Cheney Cowles Center that has a small stage, movie screen and theater-style seating for 163 people. It provides a wonderful setting for lectures, film or video presentations, recitals or performances, training seminars and more. Accomodates several wheelchairs and is fitted with a professional audio and video system. Includes access to the Helen South Alexander Gallery. This unique L-shaped space showcases contemporary art and is ideal for cocktail parties, intimate sit-down dinners or in combination with the auditorium for a post-lecture reception or displaying vendor booths for a conference.
Classroom
Our art classroom is perfect for all types of workshops and seminars, training programs, presentations and demonstrations or educational activities. The space can accommodate up to 30 people, depending upon the set-up and includes Wi-Fi and audio-visual resources.
Outdoor Amphitheater
Surrounded by landscaped grounds, intricate flagstone walkways, and the windowed west face of the Museum Building, this lovely outdoor space is a favorite for summer weddings and performances. It’s also a great choice for a reception or sit-down dinner. Accommodates 300 people in its built-in seating or about 120 people at round tables. Available May through September.
Museum Plaza & Front Lawn
This landscaped outdoor space in front of the Museum Building is an ideal setting for larger celebrations, receptions, or dinners and can accommodate a large tent, 600 people for a stand-up reception or about 200 people at round tables. This space is only available outside of the museum’s normal business hours, May through September.
Other Options
Combine several spaces for a wedding and reception, a conference with break-out sessions, or an event with multiple activities occurring simultaneously.
